
Before you go any further into this week, I want to make sure you’re on the right track.
Because even though Monday may be full of promise, nothing feels worse than realizing on Sunday that you didn’t take action on your big dreams last week again.
So here’s what I want you to do right now:
1. Write down exactly what you would LOVE to have achieved at the end of this week.
I don’t care how big or crazy or unrealistic it is. What would make you want to jump up and down with pride that you achieved it?
2. Revel in it.
How will it feel to have achieved it? What will it mean about who you are? What will it help you be in the future? How will you celebrate your accomplishment?
3. Break it down.
What needs to happen to move you towards that goal this week? Who’s involved? What are the steps?
Get super detailed. What comes first?
4. Get it scheduled.
What ONE step can you take every day to get there? What exact times will you start and stop? What will you achieve during each time block?
This is where most of us lose the thread on our dreams. We fail to schedule the action and hold ourselves accountable to taking the necessary steps.
5. Do it.
Take the action you need, when you planned, to accomplish what you set out to do.
That’s it.
I know it’s hard.
I know your mind is giving you 1000 reasons why you shouldn’t, can’t, and won’t. I get that it’s saying you’re not up for it, the results will be terrible, and you won’t be any further along because it still won’t be right.
But your mind is lying.
You’ll be further along for two main reasons: 1) you took action; 2) you prioritized YOUR dream. The work that you alone are here to do to be the person that you alone know you can be.
That’s success.
So trust. Stop putting out fires and gift yourself the time to focus on what YOU want to bring into the world.
Because here’s the truth – your inbox is going to keep filling. Your kids are going to keep needing attention. The clock is going to keep ticking.
None of that will change. But you can. You can change how you prioritize.
Choose you.
Be free. Be brave. Be YOU!
