This is by far the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever shared publicly… My face is flushed just typing this!
Earlier this week, I made a rap video. About blogging. Yeah, I’m that dweeby…
It was supposed to be a joke for a small group of spiritual business owners I’m a part of called the “Woos”. My business partner and I made it after a long day shooting for our upcoming blogging course.
So why am I sharing it with you?
Because I heard you’ve got something big you want to do and you’re holding yourself back.
You’re afraid of letting go – of losing control, of opening yourself to the unknown possibilities of who you might be behind all that fear. You’re afraid of failing, being called a “phony”, and being ridiculed, hurt and shunned.
I get it. I feel that way too. But there’s only one choice – stagnate or grow.
Consider this mortifying 3-minute video your official permission to go for it.
If I can improvise a rap, dance like a robot on camera, and then share it with thousands of people, you can risk a bit of discomfort to move towards your dreams and become the awesome person you know you are.
The rewards are worth the nerves, I promise.
Everyone may now know I need dance lessons, but I laughed harder making this video than I have in years. I had so much fun, I now see business from a whole new perspective and resolved to majorly up my game.
So whatever you’re holding back on – go for it.
You’ve got this.
Love,
Alexis
