“Hi! It’s Alexis Pierce from alexispierce.com.
One of the main blocks to happiness is really simple – we don’t practice!
Most of us are really good at feeling alone, or lonely, or sad, or disappointed, or frustrated, or worried, or like we’re not good enough. But we don’t spend any time practicing how we want to feel.
So this is what I want you to do…
Every day for the rest of the week, I want you to wake up, and – while you’re still in bed – smile and then bring into your experience all the things you want to feel.
Maybe when you’re on vacation, you just feel so at ease and so happy, and just so easeful and peaceful and your whole body goes “Sigh! Thank you!”.
So bring that experience in. Imagine you’re in that place that helps you feel that way.
Or maybe when you’re with a certain person, you feel really excited and happy and hopeful and like the whole world’s going to work out for you and you don’t need to worry about it. Imagine being with that person.
So, while you’re laying in bed, every day, before you get up – smile – bring a smile to your face.
Break that grumpiness of the morning. And then actively practice feeling how you want to feel.
And when you do that – for the rest of the day, you’re going to be able to make decisions from that beautiful place of deeper knowing and really what your priorities are.
We want to be able to live and make decisions based on how we want to feel and where we want to go.
So it doesn’t make sense to make all of our daily decisions and actions on a foundation of feeling grumpy or less-than or just not how you want to feel.
So wake up. Bring into your experience everything that you want to feel.
I know it takes practice, so it might be hard in the beginning. But try.
Try to allow yourself to imagine how you want to feel. And then move from there.
I will talk to you soon”
Be free. Be brave. Be YOU!
